Keyshot Crashes in GPU mode

A couple of minutes into using GPU mode the PC freezes and I have to reboot. This is a recent issue only, also fresh reinstalled WIndows 11 and Nvidia Studio Drivers, KS2023 - same issue. No issues until the last couple of weeks. Ran some GPU stress tests, no problems.

Is your GPU overclocked and are you using the beta/release candidate or the official 2023.2? And I wonder if it’s always the same scene you’re trying?

If it has to do with the GPU I can’t imagine your PC is actually freezed but it could very well be the display drivers so it appears to be freezed.

If it happens again, try this combination Win + Ctrl + Shift + B that will instantly (well it should) reset your graphics driver. Hardware accelerated programs will almost certainly crash if you do so, but you might be able to see the PC itself is still running actually.

If it’s always the same scene that makes it crash, it would be nice if you could share it and I could try if it crashes here as well.

If you run it overclocked try on default clocks if it still happens. I’ve also read that GPU Tweak 3 (software from ASUS) causes instabilities with KeyShot on rendering and startup.

I uninstalled all of the Asus Armory Crate software that installs by default and that seems to have done the trick! Thanks for the tip to look into the Asus software.

Nice! I remembered to get that feedback some time ago when I send a crash report of KeyShot, great it worked!
